Hi all,
I just want to criticise the Frahar Invasion event held in Pyr the other night.

Oh boy what a waste of 2 hours that was.
Yes I know im going to get flamed but who cares. Here goes

/rant on
The GM doing the zone shouts couldn’t spell, that part being quite important in public speaking.

45 min’s after it were announced the invasion started.
(after some nice region arguments about people trying to take control and lead everyone)

OMG here comes the invaders, 1 hit per kill sometimes 2, oh wait there are dogs, oh its only Growling Gingo's.

20 min’s of slashing and bashing and AE'ing hundreds of mobs later, it is announced that the so called 2 hit wonders have imprisoned some Leviers.
Out we go and spend the next hour slashing and bashing and more slashing. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

We are then told that we must kill the boss, we find the Crab called "Boss_Lower" !
I mean come on, the Devs couldn’t even be bothered to name the boss.

Event finishes, no special reward, no exp from all that killing, no nothing.

Next time the GM's want to dry run a few invasion scripts can you at least tell me beforehand and Ill know to not leave my exp group.

First, it'd be nice to be able to read your text without having to select it, dunno what your were thinking but well... you get the point.

Second... maybe some people enjoyed the event, at least you had one

If it was that bad, why didn't you log off before the two hours were up?

I quite enjoyed it. I thought the invasion actually looked like an invasion, everyone in Fyros was involved from low level people to high level people. They all got a taste of it. There was much confusion and searching trying to find the boss man. Guilds rallied together. Players helped each other. The world was a different place for 2 whole hours.

But then I must just be easy to please.

As to the post, nothing surprises me anymore. I thought horizons events were bad, at least after the first one, the first was awesome. But neverax hath shown me the light of my error.

I wasnt there, fortunately.

Well, to be honest, about people helping eachother....

Once it became clear where the "end boss" was, it seemed that every last Homin in the neighbourhood was racing beyond all possibilities, trying to get that one magical final slash, expecting eternal fame across all Atys for many eons to come, and probably some materialistic gain aswell

But as Maggers pointed out, when there is so much anouncement for one single event, you tend to expect something great. A load of "hit me once" Frahar gave a different impression.

Oh well, it's nice to see somehting happening around Pyr, even when it requires a solid 'deffence' *winks*
