Wow, wow, wow!! :D Sounds very promising!

My favorite quotes:

'What do you think of the competition?"

'We do not fear it, we do not propose the same thing. We do not exploit a licence or we don't make a traditional universe with traditional elements. In fact we have four really different civilizations, events & true game campaigns to come as in a tabletop role play . Finally in Ryzom you can develop a true personality.'

.......................................................................................................

"Our goal isn't to beat WoW which adress to a different community, younger, which wants speed, more like the 'theme park' kind whereas we go further, we create a game for true mmorpg's lovers."

.......................................................................................................

"Yes, it is necessary to choose between the kamis and the karavan, or to remain neutral . Even later there will be choices with respect to new kittins and then Jena will come into play later. In fact, imagine the homin as a chrysallide which can evolve into other things, kami, karavan, other, who knows?"

:) :D :) :D :)

Wow.. they've got some very lofty goals set there..

Not sure how many will see fruition and which will prove to be too complex to effectively implement, but any one of what he mentioned (jumping, sub-aquatic, flying, etc) would be welcome to me.

I really like the "table-top D&D" aspect.. I think this is a very unique element in Ryzom that, as far as I know, no other MMORPG implements. I'll be very curious to see how that evolves.. I know Horizons was supposed to have GM-triggered events.. but I also know that they became unplayable lag/crash fests. I don't think it quite worked out as they thought it would. So far, Nevrax has my confidence that they'll pull it off.

And the introduction of demons and angels? I'd never read anything about that.. can someone give me a summary of what that's about?

Clopper mount plx, kthx.

And I think the angels and demons thing may have been some kind of translation/comprehension blip from an old interview where Kami+Karavan were mentioned? Dunno.

Theme park...*snickers* Yep that does pretty much cover what "the other guys" are aiming for.

Six flags over Norath

That's the thing that a lot of people don't understand. Ryzom isn't going for the WoW or EQ2 crowd, it's a different game.

Awesome interview, Kudos to the Nevrax team for answering questions in a straightforward manner.
