So your leaving the game.

I just read a post where people are complaining about the in game economy about certain abilities being nerfed etc etc...

Take a look around you people...even eq one of the oldest online games has recently released nerfs for certain powers. The economy ?...hell there isn't a morpg out there that has figured out how to do the economy right in a game.

The makers of Ryzom are at least supporting the game...that is the ultimate step forward for morpgs. Will these and other issues be completely resolved, so that everyone is happy ?....No...hell the U.S government hasnt accomplished that and its been around for hundreds of years.

If you don't like an aspect of the game...by all means complain...you may not be alone and the makers of Ryzom who obviously have their ears to the ground may just change it...and for the people who are complaining about the complaints...relax they may have a point...but if your bailing on the game already for problems with the game after it's only been around as short of a time as this one has...good riddens...log off...we don't really need to hear your opinion it doesnt matter your leaving the game anyhow.

If at the end of your post you say your leaving the game why should the makers of Ryzom even consider what you've said ? There are paying customers with more legitimate beefs who are planning on staying and playing the game.

This game has alot of growing to do...it has bugs and gameplay issues...but i hate to tell you guys it will always have bugs and gameplay issues...The old saying is you can please some of the people some of the time but you cannot please all of the people all of the time. It's all a matter of opinion...just like real life.

So learn to play within the restraints of the game...by all means voice your concerns...and lets all have a great time. (some of the time anyways.)

I support constuctive complaints. If someone has issues with a certain aspect of the game and they come here and post about it in a proper manner, cheers to them - we can all discuss it like civilized people.

What I don't like, is when people come in and post 3 sentences, 2 of which contain the phrase "this game sucks" and "I'm quitting". I think people need to realize that Customer Support and the Dev team themselves LISTEN to what we have to say about the game's mechanics.

If people just learn to post up their opinion with some supportive information, things would be a lot less nerve racking.

I agree totally. As I posted elsewhere, alot of people act like the developers should contact them personally with a reply or chase them down and beg for forgiveness when they say they are going to quit.
There will always be people unhappy with a product. If you're not playing then why should the company listen to you at all? If you can't be patient and just go " that's it i'm cancelling my account" then chances are you're hard to please to begin with. Alot of folks are.
This is a game. It's purpose is to have fun. If you're not having fun then go away. Some will be missed , some others won't care about. Few if any are going to be begged to stay by the players. And fat chance on the company.
Often there is a legitimate complaint with a whiney baby behind it. Skip the whiney baby routine and try to be helpful and patient. If something is such a big deal you can't stand the game anymore there's more out there for you to play. Go play that instead.
Why sit and gripe about how you cancelled your account then wait for others who complain the same way and go " yeah that's why i cancelled". Go hang out on a forum for something you do play. To me what that really shows is you do want to play the game you're just to cranky to admit it. The game is interesting and you had fun, otherwise you'd go somewhere else.

I still say there needs to be an "offical" leaving the game topic so whenever someone decides to flame the game when they leave its in the the same place as the rest of them.

Better yet a forum ignore feature for flamers so that never have to see their unsubstatiated drivel at all.

How about an "ignore thread IF it contains X key words" I would set it to ignore "I am leaving" "this game sucks" and "yall are such fan boi s" or ANY dood speak trash.

If they respectfully and honestly have a laundry list of why they are leaving...and it TRULY is in game...and others TRULY have an issue with it...Then by ALL means, post your goodbyes. I will hold the door for them.

But I feel SAD and sorry for those DOODs that stopped by last week in Fyros lands, "because they were waiting for X game beta to open up" or "while we wait for Y game to go retail". If they actually expect those games to be WORLDS better than this one...they are sadly mistaken. But the one that honestly said.."I got this game cuz my girlfriend is playing it, but I don't like how you get gear...LAME dood." Honest and to the point.

I told the guy at the game store where I bought my copy, this game is NOT for everyone. But...those that it IS for...it is heaven.

Amen.
This is the "Dead Fanbois Society", isn't it?
And by this, your thread would be closed too, regarding the proposals above.
I truly hope our Threads containing constructive proposals would be protected as well........
There are enough of you flaming (and yes, posting something like: "you all s***, the Game is great" is flaming too) in the threads that should be making the game better for all.

Inside every post is a reason. You may not agree with the reason, and the person writing might not be articulate enough to explain it, but the reason is there.

Yes, I find those posts annoying, but those people ARE customers of Nevrax and if they are leaving, then Nevrax needs to know.

Blind fanboism is getting to be a bit too rampant here. If anyone wants to see the outcome of that just check out Horizons. Horizons was a game with much potential, but between the developers of that game being completely out of touch with their customers and the fanbois completely glossing over anything negative on every thread and starting wars, the game has been destroyed. (And yes, I was once one of the fanbois of that game and am just as guilty)

From the tone of certain posts here, it worries me that this is going the same way as far as the fanbase is concerned. You are doing no one a service by jumping on the bandwagon and refusing to acknowledge issues.

Yes, this is a good game so far, and yes there is potential for this game to be a real gem, but there are problems, and people are leaving.

Some people are leaving because the game isn't for them, and some are leaving because they didn't research the game prior to buying it and expected something it is not. Some are leaving because of the issues.

If someone wants to post a 'This game suxxors' post, let them. They are a paying customer if they can post here. Don't jump on them in the posts, it only incites it. The post will drift off the page quickly enough.

I am just as dismayed by the sheer number of 'HUGS' posts as I am by the 'Suxxor' posts. They are just not helpful either. This is a business and their reward for doing a good job is a healthy customer base.

You want to thank Nevrax for the game, then tell people about the game (and be realistic, drops that 'HUGS' stuff).

And overlook the threads you think are unconstructive. If you didn't post on them and start a war, they would move down quickly, but Nevrax would still know that someone was no longer a customer.
