What is a temporary inventory?

I'm trying to trade with someone and getting a message about my temporary inventory needing to be cleared. How do I clear it?

Dunno.
Do you have an item pending in a forage, craft, or loot action?

The temporary inventory usually holds crystalized sap and spells. To empty it, craft something, then click take all. That should fix the problem.

I tried that with someone. it didn't work...though I made a nice dagger out of it!
