The world of Atys has some very scary things. An entire race hides behind masks. Hordes of kitin may attack the city at any time. While some seek to soothe away their fears, the very bravest of homins share their fears with others. We invite all homins to attend our first Storytelling, where all homins may share their tales of adventure and, possibly, stark terror. Storytellings will take place on October 31st, 2004 in the following cities at the following times:
Davae: 7:30PM EST
Pyr: 8:30PM EST
Zora: 9:30PM EST
FairHaven: 10:30PM EST
The Storytelling will be hosted by GM Shadowthorn, AtysÂ’ spookiest GM.

Should we all wear orange Tryker helmets for the event? In keeping with the season? ;D

I'm very new, (only a few days old) and my characters haven't been to the mainland yet, nor are they ready. They *may* be ready by Halloween, but if not...
If I create a newbie character just to go to this event - what are my chances of surviving? Will I be 'beamed' directly into the city location by the karavan/kami, or do I have to fight my way there from a nearby point?
Would love to come, just want to know if I can make it.

Yes, you get transported in safty directly to the capital, and can attend in safty. It's still a few days away, and you should be prepared by then to attend.

Be warned though, young Homin, if you choose the race of Matis. The capital Yrkanis is but a stone's throw from Davae, however, that stone must pass many a vicious monster. The others will all be quite safe, though.
You have been warned.
