Prior to the most recent patch it was possible to adjust the CameraDistMax value so that you could actually zoom out to a useful level. This is the only MMO I know of where you have such a small limitation on how far you can zoom out. With the current limit of 5 for CameraDistMax, you are essentially blind whenever most any mob decides it wants to come near you. While some of the roleplay realists might find this idea neat, it's a horrible thing and should be put back or modified to a useful level like 25 or so.

I kinda agree with this. I think it'd be nice to have a *wee* bit more distance between my character and the camera.

It's not an "oh my God!" emergency to me.. but it'd be nice

Tetra, Tbh, i dont actually look at the screen whenever playing, only at the chatbox and the compass. Yes, one fateful day, i pressed C and a miraculous navigation "compass" (its a radar) changed my life. Set the range to 125 or 50 and u wont have to worry about actually seeing the mob, given u have some navigational sense of course.
And please dont be so overdramatic, it makes people think its a severe issue, and this irritates some.

So because you don't think it's a worthy issue, he should just shut up? Don't be silly. It's annoying as hell that you can't back up far enough to actually get any sort of situational awareness in your immediate vicinity.

No it's a matter of someone going off thinking that the world is ruined because of change in interface. It's one thing to voice a complaint. It's another to try and win an oscar for lead in a drama.

I dunno. I, for one, always find it hilarious when a thread's title includes "For the love of God and all that is Holy," or some variation thereof. As a matter of fact, all threads could begin with this as a standard opening, and I would be quite happy. Melodramatic? Yes, but that's why I always lmao when I see it.
