It's a shame I haven't got any friends to share it with :-]

It is a shame that all my friends happen to be online and there is no way that I am going to post my cd's to them through the post.
It would be excellent however if there was a download so I could indeed send a friend a key and they could download it.
Fileplanet i'm sure would add this most excellent game to their lists of downloads IF Nevrax would allow it. What harm can come from others being able to access a download so they can try out the game?
Do it Nevrax! Don't let your game be hidden away for people to forget and lose interest. Make a lot of noise.

Dang, that's bad news.
Any game company that feels the need to give away free trials a month after release is in trouble, every gamer knows that *points over to Horizons*.

Not necessarily, any game company who didn't do this could stand to go stale and never get in any new customers.
Horizons is dying so quickly because the game just wasn't everything everyone expected, was way way way more bug ridden at launch and just did not run smoothly no matter what you did. A year later they still hadn't really improved stability or any of the visual bugs for spells etc. That is why horizons is dying. No amount of trials could get people to play that and put up with all that it doesn't offer for long.
It looked promising but never was there any effort to make it live up to peoples expectations.

Download from where?
Oh and btw, funny how it all of a sudden is possible to get the game without needing a box:
Precious-Key-Mail wrote:your friend can :
- purchase a box in store, and fill in the new CDkey in the profile.
- or do nothing, and be automatically debited the box retail price at the end of the 14 days.

no no it's not possible yet. What you do is send/give your friend a key and he has to borrow your cd's to install the game. If after 14 days he likes it, he has to go buy the full thing from the available shops and then upgrade his account.

Sorry, Shazzy, but no - the friend can just continue to play without needing the box - however the box price will be billed to his account.
