Tryker mainland full of quicksand?

I just moved to the mainland with my latest Tryker (created after the recent patch) and was astonished at how choppy the game got! What gives? In n00bland it was smooth as silk, but mainland is noticeably choppy. When I turn around, it skips major frames. People run by leaps and bounds, as if teleporting a few feet at a time. I turned of AA which helped a little, but I would think that it should run at least ok if it ran perfect in n00bland. How can people play like this? I had another character on mainland before the recent patch, and it ran much much smoother; same graphics settings, etc. Anyone else experience this? What gives?

Well consider the size of noobland, the variety of mobs in there, the amount of NPC's walking around Fairhaven, etc... it has quite a boost in computer load in comparison to the newbie land

Its your graphics card. There seems to be a compatability issue with that card and ryzom. Try switching to open GL from the ryzom config before launching the game. That should help a bit.

My computer locked up twice last night in Tyker land. There are certainly issues there. Hopefully they can track them down and get them fixed.

I really doubt newer drivers will take away THAT much choppiness, but I'll sure try anyway. I've been considering getting a new Sapphire Radeon X700, so mebbe I'll just do that.

Some of the choppienes may be network/server related, but a new vid card makes you care less, if nothing else.
