Ryzom Client Troubles...

So I tried to log into Ryzom today when I randomly started getting a message telling me the Ryzom client can't allocate AGP memory and that I should check my BIOS or upgrade my chipset drivers. Knowing next to nothing about what exactly is going on under the hood of a computer, this confused the hell outta me. I've heard of the BIOS but have no idea how to get into it, or furthermore how to "Allocate AGP Memory'. I don't even know what AGP memory is, nor what chipset drivers they are talking about.
You all seem like a knowledgable bunch, any help?

AGP Refers to how you connect your video card to your motherboard.

AGP allows you to share some of your standard system memory with your video card.

When you first boot up your computer when its going through its checks of your memory, harddrive, cdrom's etc.. this is where you access your bios.

You should see a prompt at the bottom of your screen to press the "Delete" key or a F1 key to enter the bios.

All the different motherboards are differnt so its going to be hard to tell you exactly where to go. Your looking for the a line that asks about AGP memory and generally there will be 2 or 3 options "None", "64", "128".

Just so ya know, you wont be able to screw anything up in your bios unless you exit and save. so if you thing you changed somthing you didnt mean to, just reboot the pc and head back into your bios. When you get the settings the way you want and exit/save it writes all your settings to your bios memory and you should be good.

Hope this helps. Im not an expert so i cant say for sure which settings work better for ryzom but this is where you need to be if you need to up the memory settings for AGP.

I think you're right. I had to switch out a borrowed card because it was causing all kinds of hell with crashing, freezing, etc until it just stopped working. Put in my old card and was able to play fine but now this AGP message. I'll go check it out.

Thanks again.

It turns out my AGP settings were fine, it's just not be recognize for some reason. However I can disregard the message and still play the game more or less. These C++ Runtime Errors are getting really old though...
