Indeed im on ISDN and have no lag since they fixed it. I was even OK in the party trip to tryker 30ppl, I suffered lag though when the party size reached 60.

1 mb ADSL and no lag since the 'lag fix'.
From past experience, I leave my machine on permenatly, a reboot helps when things slow down.

I dont revieve any lag in matis anymore, however if I port to tryker I get movement lag.
Maybe because of all the water effects?

Turn off Mcafee If u have it, it gives me 3000 ping in CS and in Ryzom.Disable the firewall and the security service. With those down, i have 200-300 ping with a 5 mb connection
. Dunno about other software.

Also, is it in fact lag (network latency) you are suffering from, and not low/stuttering framerates (most apparant during movement of course)?
I am not trying to insult your technical knowledge
, but I often see people failing to make the distinction between the two problems, since especially stuttering when moving into populated areas (cities for instance) can be confused with some of the same symptoms of network latency, even though they stem from the graphics card not being up to the task, or RAM being on the low side for handling the huge amount of texture loading etc. that tend to take place when entering a city for instance.
You may very well be suffering from "real" lag, just trying to point to another possibility if you were not aware of it already.
Personally I have had minimal, almost non-existent, lag since the "fix".
