Auction System or Chat-Channel?

Just wanted to clarify after reading the Patch 1 notes... it mentioned something about new chat channels, and then "we need feedback other than AUCTION". This makes me think, by the association, that the 'new auction system' is going to just be a chat channel? Or are they actually working on an auction system like SWG?

Well .. I heard that NPC vendors will be holding items players sell to them for X amount of time. However I was hoping it would be more like an auction style system (kind like SWG or HZ).

It IS a sort of consigner system (with roughly the same functionality as in Horizons) where the NPC merchant sells player items for a price the player can specify. However, the merchant
also sells NPC items - though I wouldn't be surprised when Nevrax would remove and/or reduce the NPC items if the economy turns out so that people can find enough harvested or looted materials on the merchants.
