How to fix "Target Teammate" Keys

One of the bugs fixed in the 1.9.0 patch is the fixing of the functionality of the "target teammate" keys (Ctrl+F1 through Ctrl+F8 by default.) Previously these keys, when pressed, did nothing. This has been fixed and on new characters the Ctrl+F1 through Ctrl-F8 keys now work as intended.
For existing characters however, a manual fix is required to make the keys work. Below are the steps to follow:
- Open the "Keys" window ("K" by default.)
- Scroll down to the "Action Keys" section.
- You will see 2 entries for each "Target Teammate # 1" through "Target Teammate # 8", one enabled (with a key assigned) and one disabled (with "N/A", see image below.)
- Right click on an enabled entry and choose "Delete Key", do this 8 times, for # 1 through #8
- After deleting all 8, relog
You will now have the correct entries in the Keys window and key Ctrl+F1 will now target your # 1 teammate, Ctrl+F2 your # 2, etc.
Alternatively, if you have not made custom keybindings or macros, you can log off and delete the keys_<charactername>.xml file in the user subdirectory of your Ryzom installation. This will reset all keybindings and macros to the default.
