Ryzom

I just wanted to say goodbye to all players that may remember Trini, the Darkmoor Ranger, it was fun as long as it lasted. During the past 4.5 years I met many players, and made many friends and foes. I took some breaks, but always found my way back, but this time I think this decision may be final.

Recent developments in and about the game are what let me depart at this point, so please don't think that the community is what drives me away.

I don't like the fact that a Ryzom player now has to check a multitude of official websites. In my humble opinion 4 'official' websites plus 3 'official' forums to follow what happens around the game if far too much.

I don't like how the developers dealed with players privacy and security concerns about the Ryzom API, but in the end they own the character data, and they may do with it what they like. The only thing I can decide if I want use their database manipulation tool (maybe better know as the Ryzom client) or not.

I am truly saddened by this post. While I agree that Atys has been through many a change, I cannot begin to imagine being anywhere else. It has been a pleasure interacting with your vibrant personality. Be well, and good luck to you. *sighs*
