why do I need to create a new account?

just to log in to the suggestions forum? I tried to make a comment on a suggestion and it won't let me log in. I presume that, just as with the RP forum, I will have to *once again* duplicate all my information. Why can't we have them be proper sub-fora of the fora here?

Really -- if they are supposed to be easy to use, so that we will use them, why aren't they easy to use?

The suggestions "forum" is not a forum at all, it's a completely separate web application provided and hosted by UserVoice. The RP forum is also separate software, Redmine, but is not hosted by a third party.

There may be plugins for vBulletin (this forum's software) that would allow some level of integration with Redmine. UserVoice does not currently have an API that would facilitate such, but according to their own suggestions list they have begun preparing one.

jeez people, be realistic, the people ask for lore and atys crons to come back

option A) create a section on our vb board
option B) create a dynamic and interactive new website dedicated to the roleplay of atys with regular updates, has anyone that has complained actually visited the new site?

people ask for the feedback section to be used by the owners

option A) revive a dead forum section that was always ignored
option B) power to the players via the best suggestion software available giving users the power to submit suggestions and the community to vote for the populat stuff.

You either wait 12 months for the web devs of ryzom to rewrite this software (pointless) or you accept that third party software will advance ryzom, its a shame there arn`t login bridges right now, but i`d rather have the tools at hand and spend three mins signing up than having nothing.

For atys' sake stop complaining about the added voice you have been given, if you choose not to use it then fine, but the others are doing just fine

Ah -- I was not aware of that. It all looks pretty much the same at my end. Given this information, it is obvious why there has to be yet another login created. It's not optimal, but it is obvious.

As for the suggestions list, it does not actually look as if it is useful for generating interactive collaboration to attempt to refine an ill-defined beginning idea, but rather that it is useful for determining if people like a particular idea, It is the difference between participating the the debate on the floor of the assembly and voting on a law that is presented by said assembly. One of the great advantages of the open discussion in these forums was that an idea could mutate or be refined.

My plaint was based on the idea that something simple was being made complex. It appears that the "simplicity" was only an illusion. I do not apologize for my initial reaction, but I acknowledge my education and retract my complaint.

The Saga RP forum could be made to have one common login same as ryzom.com and the forums here. Javascript has a new localDataStorage feature that might work for this though i don't know if security is a issue there.

There are more and more cloud-applications that take advantage of cross-domian signins, so its perfectly possible and would be really nice to not have to sign in multiple times.

Edit: yes like the possible UserVoice API if secure
