The best advice I can give is to look around find out who you like, and who is helping you. See what the ML is like. Then go to a guild that you have a lot of friends in. Those people who were willing to help you at low levels will usually be the best for you to join up with. As a forewarning, a lot of people in Ryzom have a tendency to help newer players, so you may end out having a hard time deciding :) .

Otherwise, welcome to Atys, and I look forward to seeing you around.

Spend some time reading the lore of the 2 factions, guilds usually lean one way or the other, and the playstyles of each leaning can be very different. The lore is avery good source of information, and may help you decide which direction to take (and help narrow your search for a guild that suits you).

Well said!
The helping often becomes spoiling actually. Take your time to pick a guild that you like, don't take the first offer you get.

Some real good advice here! There are some really wonderful guilds here and I think you'll be happy where ever you end up. Just take your time and find a group you feel comfortable with.

Welcome to Atys! Enjoy the adventure!
