This is a joke. If you dont know, i have 2 names on the 'wall', so trust me on this.
The real contributors who digged and delivered the most are left out and only those who got lucky on the delivery when the first forage mission was completed or the ones who had the nerve to camp longest to get their name on the wall are rewarded.
... and camping is exactly that is going on right now.
(at least we have mem-leak crash, so it ends eventually)

I suggest a similar "most stones carried" etc table like the steels of valor with the temple events. arc

Carried is good, but what about mats dug? If the point is to give credit to all, then it will be difficult to do. If the point is that we now have the observation towers, well, the Lakelands and the Desert are done, so it is time for us to help with the Matis and the Zorai.

Yes - the first brick stuff was a kinda cool idea, but the last brick is just resulting in a camp-fest by those with very little to do with their time. Records of who turned in the most deliveries and the most dig missions would be much preferred.
But, then, we can always take the route of responding to "Look how many last bricks I got!" with "There there, dear, you'll find out about this social skills stuff one day".

The important thing is, we were able to complete the Hush Hole camp in Loria, and we had tea, a good laugh, and fireworks to celebrate!

Sure it's all good. Overall this is a great event and a very good job from the devs.
Pity they found a way to reward campers instead of the more dedicated players... but nothing is perfect.
I hope next time they will think a bit more, but anyway I found the event really fun.

I would think events like this one would be a good way to create a guild leveling system. Get some of those NPC's in GH's flushed out, create more storage etc...

I think the devs intended them more as a fun novelty than as a real recognition - which would've worked if only they hadn't
shown us they were keeping track of it until
after all had been given out.
On the first day of the event we didn't even know they were tracking "first stone", so there was no race to get it and it was just a fun novelty to find out. But the Status page was revealed before half the towers even had their first brick laid yet, resulting in people rushing to get their names on the remaining ones. And if no "Last stone laid by..." had shown up on completion of Northlake, people wouldn't have bothered camping the others either.
A "most deliveries" would likely just give the same name for every tower, so should probably be per land. But a "most dug" per tower would definitely be nice.
Keep in mind though, that there is no "fair" way to give credit for an event such as this.
A "most dug" per tower favors those who spent all their time digging for that single tower, even long after no more mats were needed for it, and leaves out those who dug for every tower depending on which needed mats. A "most deliveries" per land favors those who just ran that land's delivery mission every 8 hours, and leaves out those who constantly trekked their mount up and down to do delivery missions in every land.

I think its more accidental in that, given that I know wouldn't have thought about that homins would sit there and camp the Observers so they could get their name on the last brick.
I would rather just see the towers built, so any coming storm we will have fair warning, and our lands are properly protected.
For the future of the Homins, and Jena!

The event, thus far has been very enjoyable and in the end that it really what it is all about. Yes, there are things that could have been handled differently and there are always areas to improve. All the homins that put in their hard work deserve thanks and appreciation to the construction of the towers.
Thank you diggers and runners of all Atys!
