EVENT: Kitin Nest Spanking Reloaded

Location: Desertstock, We meet at Knott of Dementia Kami TP

Last time we did this it was Mother’s day and people were not bringing their mothers, so we had a smaller group. We managed however, to do very well, getting right to the queen. We were about to take the Queen down and would have succeeded if we had not pulled agro from below. In the pic below you can see we are at the end, right on top of the larva, and that’s the Queen in the background.

This time is going to be it! Then in future we move on to other nests.

Desertstock is marked on your ingame map, in the Knot of Dementia region of the jungle. But the army will meet at Stainmoor Gate, in the same region and also marked on your map. There's an altar and a respawn point there and it's a safe walk from Zora.

If you can get to Zora you should be able to reach it yourself from there, but if not, just be in Zora around the time of the event and ask in uni and I'm sure someone will be willing to take you there. If you can't get to Zora yet, ask for a trek there during the coming days.

Since I don't have a KCA account I shall answer this here.

Kinchers deal lightning damage, kirostas deal poison damage and kinreys deal acid damage. But the kinchers and the kirostas usually are easy enough to deal with, and the kinreys are the real danger. (Specially in the other nests that pretty much only have kinreys.) So it's best to wear a jewelry set with as much acid protection as possible.

The kizarak also has a spit attack, but it's not stopped by any jewelry or armor.

Kidinak don't do any magical damage, their only special attack is to cast sleep, which is very annoying. This is the only mob special I know of that's actually a spell-casting, meaning that forest resistance should help resist it. (Lake resistance doesn't help against kipee stun, for example, because that's not technically a spell.) So your acid protection set should also have maximum forest resistance.

As for damage done, kidinaks have 80% protection against all melee and kinreys 60%, so ideally you'd really only want pike users with ignore armor tanking them, as any other melee will hardly scratch them. Nukers should use cold against kidinaks (they have no protection against cold and 20% or more protection against everything else) and any racial spell against kinreys (they have 30% protection from racial spells, but 60% protection from cold, acid and rot). Kinreys have less health and do more damage than kidinaks, so should always be killed first.
