Much similar to your work has been seen at the Ballistic Mystix's website, where many Homins have pooled their knowledge of such things.

Hm? But what are these? Excel/Sup spots, or choice?
I get a little annoyed how no sites have detailed info on choice spots. THAT'S what I dig. I guess no one wants to encourage diggers of lower levels to be able to dig without learning how to find stuff through tracking/prospecting combination. I really hate it. Having tracking lead me somewhere, and then spend 10 minutes prospecting willy nilly around trees and other obstacles.

about choice, i guess its because there are way way way to many spots to realy mat them all.
excellent on the other hands, each kind of material has only 1 spot in each subzone

bm has the areas listed, not all, but 'popular' ones should be present.
raum has spots for mats and in there you can add new ones if you want. most find whining easyer and does not bother with adding new spots.

i agree. tracking should lead you to directly to node where you can dig few mats and then you need to find new spot using tracking again. kind of 'dynamic moving zones' insteads of like we have it now 'find it once, mark it, come back 4 year later and dig millions of mats from it'.

The map rocks. We have it linked in one our or guild site FAQs.

The raum site has maps for the "choice" sites which I like because you can filter them. petej's maps cover the excellent mat spots and those can be found on the BM forum site.

PS: yes. thank you for the map. It shows multiple mats at the same time, which is nice, and it's pretty detailed.

Raum's maps are a lot less detailed though. They're zoomed out.
And BM's site lists choice mats all together in a general area rather than specifically.
(I also wish I could zoom in on a land instead of get the world map every time I open up another map to look for another mat,
or find multiple mat spots on a map at the same time instead of separately)

Hm. I hadn't thought of that. Tracking leading you directly to a spot, but the spot moving would be interesting. Or perhaps you could track both general area and specific area, so that you could mark your map with the general area which doesn't move, and then find the specific area.
The problem is prospecting doesn't work when there's a tree in the way (but tracking does), and there can be a lot of trees. I don't know... Maybe I'm not cultured enough to enjoy this "art", but it does nothing but frustrate me. The other day someone was trying to help me find fine (or choice) mats of a specific kind, and even though they popped in one spot, the message was saying they weren't there. It was really aggravating. Fine mats shouldn't just disappear and give misleading messages. That might happen for choice mats in excel spots due to weather, but this was something completely different. These were fine mats. Eventually I just gave up. Seems I usually have to pick only ONE objective at a time. I can't get XP AND the mats I want. It's one or the other.

if alot of ppl like my map, even tho similar things are on ballistic and raum, if enough ppl like it then i might continue the other maps in the same resolution.
its easy to make yet frustrating to place the damn nodes in photoshop and tends to get laggy (in photoshop ye
cus all the nodes are layers)
i started this a year ago and desert was finished in about a week (1hour a day or i go nuts cus i hate photoshop) then i went on with zorai area wich is about 50% done, other zones are not even started yet.
i have a complete map of the world wich is (currently crashing adobe
) a 12MB sized .jpg file of 8200x8200 pixels
