Wish list for the new devs - 2009 and beyond

Basically make a wish, put out ideas, (or not w/e
) And maybe someday the Dev's will put some of them in
(Hence - Wish list
)
I'll start - OPs ... I would like to see OPs reworked. (I'd love to see them GvG/AvA w/e instead of just FvF- 3+ sides is better then 2... but thats nothing the Dev's can change I guess) New content - Make it so we can build them up, and make them worth something. The ability to build 'defense towers' that you can load with gear (Such as LA/MA/HA/Amps/ranged weps/ect) that will change their strengths, to get Crafters into the fights...
Ranged weps would have to be loaded of course, so long battles, would need lots of ammo, magic... Well perhaps have to load them with sap crystals, And of course the strength of the amps would effect the power of it. And to keep Crafters busy, if the towers are destroyed in combat, then the gear goes with them. (make the harder to destroy depending on cost and gear applied, but not need to be destroyed to lose the fight).
Make more OP buildings with more options - Maybe like a market option, Where the owner would get a small percentage of w/e goes through, Or have trainers there, So people wouldn't have to go back to the major Cities, and get some dappers for them.
But also have to pay maintenance on the buildings, So that we could have a dapper sink as well. Also you could still just have drills there for mats/cats but they will make no dappers and cost a steady amount. This would help make dappers worth something again.
Anyway - Thats all I feel like typing atm, feel free to add to/criticize my ideas. or make your own, But no flaming please

I like all of Reds points, but with regard to OP's, I would love to see :
1. The OP's go into contention after 1-2 weeks, if someone holds an OP, after the assigned period, they lose it and have to retake it, with the guards automatically set to defend and players having to choose defend or attack, there is a malaise in OP's that IMO is strangling Ryzom.
2. OP's be GvG as originally intended.
3. Cool off period for guild membership of one week (or half the contention period), to stop guild hopping for OPs.
4. Get rid of cats and only have OP mats produced or something else that doesent significantly marginalise non-OP owners like a 2X Experience ratio.
5. At least get rid of Q50 OPs, if you need Q50 cats, you are in the wrong game, make Q50 OP's = Q100, if cats are kept.
6. If you want to keep OPs and Cats in the game, make more OPs available or else significanly lower the amount, either lots of guilds have access or maybe only 2-3 OP's available per server, the reason being, more people have access to cats, or else, make the battles for OP's (cats really) more significant, only the biggest and best get their grubby little mitts on an OP.
7. No guild can own more than one OP. Surely that doesnt need an explanation.
8 Maybe sell, a form of cat (if kept) at an NPC vendor that works at maybe 30%-50% of the normal 2X experience crystal as we know it currently.
We need to get rid of faction domination, it doesnt work in Ryzom, it pits friend against friend and even disharmony among factions.
Apart from OP's, I would like to see enchantment vendors that sell (as dapper sinks)
1. Extra apartment space.
2. Extra packers.
3. Graphical effects on weapons, like fire, electricity etc. They add no advantage and give weapons a nice effect.
4. OP TP's, to micro manage travel, so diggers can get around with more freedom, running through aggro in focus gear can be .... problematic.
5. Pay an extra fee to get to PR, but have vendors available in PR
6, Packer TP Tickets to portals.

Seams like there are 3-4 seperate threads talking about what we want in the game or what we want the devs to do. That makes it more complicated for follow-ups (if there are any).

I can think of lots of things, but here are a few:
1) Larger apartment space. Or let us buy more than one apartment (one in each building perhaps? Double the price for each additional apartment) -- Let us decorate our apartments.
2) Ability to visit other player's apartments (with other people in it - maybe each building would have an address board so we can look the other players up and enter the apartment).
3) Make the mail system like that other game (WoW). Let us send items, dappers, etc through the mail, COD mail. Make it so we have to go to a mailbox to get our mail. Give us a mail-waiting indicator. Return unread mail to the sender.
4) Let us add offline users to our friend list.
5) Move away from the TP ticket system. Let us just pay a fee to use the TP, rather than have to have a ticket in our inventory.

Well, I looked at the others, and, like the 'wish list' one, well that was primarily just a short list of things we want. (5) Granted some people put up ideas anyway. But, I wanted a thread for ideas, fully thought out ideas, And maybe one day we might see some of them come into the game...
I don't know, guess it just really irritates me, Ryzom has the potential to be an amazing MMO (not saying it isn't good, as I've played more of this game then all other MMOs on my short list combined, Even if you add some non MMO games, It would still take a number of them to add up). But the amount of potential this game has to be so much better then it is... Is almost unbelievable, To be honest.
I mean, Just with OPs, Not counting any other part of the game, There is a TON of potential for greatness, Add that with all other aspects of the game... And its just wow
Crafting for instance, Just a little bit of add-on that would make a nice difference - Make the player have the ability to make their own insignia(mark) on the weapon/armor, Guild crafters could put their guild emblem on their guilds gear.
(I'd put RSA on mine
) Or when you buy armor from someone with no mark, you can pay to have your guilds mark put on it (Dapper sink).
Nothing can survive on potential alone. Ryzom can't... I mean, even the Sony Playstation 3, is failing rather hard, because its not living up to its potential(and I wish it was
) As a gaming console anyway. Versus its predecessor it has failed severely so far.
