I think they only appear at a distance of 200-250 meters or less.

That's correct.

250m ? That means I gotta go back to "I'm under the "e" in Savage Dunes" or "by the tree near the three little bumps" on the map

first i have never understood how dead ppl can talk or send out/accept team invites... but whatever.
second, right click on compass/team/team member. still tracks.

I can live with that, as long as tracking works. (It didn't work well before the patch)

Well most of the time I am teamed in PR, we are all over the place.....I can be in FD, a peep can be in LoC and another in Abyss. It's also when ya have a peep looking for a dig spot and you can direct him / her by tracking the little red man.

When I get a "I'm down" message, the quickest way to locate someone is by looking at the map. Immediately I know what TP to use and where to go. The compass is only really worthwhile when you are within 1000m or so.

As for inviting someone when dead, /invite [name] worked b4 patch, haven't needed to sue it since. Breaking team was a bit convoluted....had to use the game pad and click "separate".
