The front page has a 12+ icon at the bottom. Is that a restriction, a suggestion or a rating?

I have a 10 and an 11 year old who are both dying to know. Looking for an official opinion on this.

It's a rating.
Probably because you can run around in your underwear ingame.

That was what I figured as there was no age question to register. I'm thinking it's more for the kill tribe/bandit missions and the PvP in general.

Thanks.

... then again, it's not like kids under 12 years old don't ever play in underwear...

The PvP (language) might be what it gives the rating, besides that, the game is pretty friendly I think...

The rating's been that since before the pvp really appeared, so... :)

Well the game does cover death, fighting, guns, murder, religion, so a fair rating if you ask me.

I dont think any MMO should have a rating under that tbh

mmm now that you say it, i wonder how Tom & Jerry and Roadrunner ever got approved for children, i mean... putting dynamite in somebodies house (mouse hole) or hitting somebody with a bulldozer isnt very friendly either ;)

(ok, ok, starting to derail this thread)

Dropping anvils on heads, Elmer Fudd constantly having his gun blow up in his face...ah yes, it was a kinder gentler time! (honestly, I'm glad I grew up with such "violence"...Bugs Bunny cartoons are loads of fun)

It's just that those cartoons were made with a purpose! shh don't tell anyone  *turns around sharply, gasps and runs away*

But... seriously though we try to filter the stuff kids see on TV as much as possible here in Russia. When my son sees something like that - he goes away from the computer saying: "Daddy please change these "aggressive nightmares" to domething else" :D

Also, a rating like that prohibits the use of certain words. As simple as that: do not use offensive language.
