Problem Error 4000

I just tried to log in and got Error: error(4000) I can't log in to the servers.
I went on CeB and talked to Thurmar(CSR) who says that it is clearly a Server Side Error (TM) and that it is brand new. Nothing to be done until Euro people get up in the morning.
Just passing on the news to the community.

Not brand new. Back in February,
someone in the French forum mentioned he encountered the 4000 error, just before the servers died (not implying anything by that, I think we're all fine, just a little New Year hiccup).
For info, 4010 (NOT 4000) is a "disconnected server or restricted access" error.

And it looks as if I was a little premature in w00t-ing. After playing for 1.5 hrs, I was booted to desktop from Pyr, and now have the 4000 error again.
I'm irritated because I was actually on a mission to give someone some useful jewels. Ahwell.

Oh hey, now that you mention it, I actually did get an error(4000) when I tried to login last night, but I just pressed the login button again and it worked, so I didn't think anything of it but a small hiccup.
Still, maybe I better pass on that reboot, just to be sure.

To clarify and give what little info we have. I did not say it was a new error, but one that we (CSR that were online when it occurred) had not seen before. This seems to be a randomly occurring error since 01.01.09 and is happening on the
German server as well. Some things that have worked to log-in when you do get the error 4000:
- reboot pc
- click ok on error box and select connect on login screen again.
- re-installation of Ryzom (extreme case and last resort)
Once we have concrete information on what is causing this error I will update to let you all know.
Sincerely,
Thurmar
