Serious graphics problem

Ryzom was working for me last week, just fine. But now, when I start up Ryzom, the lower half of the screen is blacked out, aside from control buttons. After logging in, I get blank black for much of the graphics. Including, striped good terrain with blank, and faceless characters. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

(an ASUS M51TA with an ATI mobility radeon HD 3650 (/3200) with 512M VRAM. Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1)

Tried rebooting, uninstalling, reinstalling, changing the quality of graphics (best to worst), all to no avail. Solutions greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Strange that it suddenly started having problems. Heat issues maybe, you using it in a warmer room and/or on a new surface?

Did you update the graphics card's driver?
The date is 11/12 for the lastest one. If you didn't try that, or if you did, try a roll back to the previous one.

You could also run the Ryzom configuration program. Check under "Display" and what it is set as.
If it's either OpenGL or Direct3D try the opposite.
Also, try switching between Full Screen and Windowed modes.
Just change one thing at a time and see if that works.

Good Luck and see you in game soon.

Oddly, windows says my driver is up to date, but says the date is 7/11/08.

why all try to post something like "install last drivers" for the pretty old game?
btw, cheerfulc, don't believe to MS, believe to ATI =)
check for overheat
check working in other 3D games under heavy load
simply reinstall drivers and maybe DirectX
