Been meaning to ask this for some time, just never got around to it.
Why is it that the player cannot 'loot' the corpses of monsters killed by other monsters?
Thanks,

Re: Minor annoyance
This is a pretty standard game mechanic. There may be no "logic" to it but there are a number of good reasons for it to be that way as a game mechanic. The risk vs reward part of game design is a delicate balance. For someone to potentially get rich at very little risk just by being a scavenger is undesireable in my opinion.deadwolf wrote:Been meaning to ask this for some time, just never got around to it.

Re: Minor annoyance
if you go as far as looting dead mosters that were killed by other monsters, what's to stop you from going and looting stuff that guards have killed?
Re: Minor annoyance
In newbie zones, the mobs that kill other mobs are carnivores, it makes good sense that ANYTHING of value that you could loot would be at the least degraded in value due to teeth marks, and other grossness. And part of what you could loot has been eatten.
Next time you are watching a gingo kill something, watch afterwards...YEP, he just ate it. Not sure about Kippees or Cloppers, but gingos definately consume what they kill.
