high ping in game, low ping in Pingplot

Hi, umm, I'm not sure if this post belongs to this section of the forum, but I am having a hard time playing the game, having ping topping 3000 at times. I downloaded the Pingplot program and traced su1.ryzom.com, and got pretty good results (green for 172.20.207.254, 172.30.204.194, and 172.30.5.21). I do have pretty fast internet connection speed, and get about 1.5Mb/s downloading speed from London using speedtest.net. I am wondering if this is caused by my game configuration or my firewall configuration, or if this is simply a network problem that cannot be fixed from client's side. Thanks.
