I know the game is free and all that but at this moment if it went pay to play and I wasnt some fanboi ryzom lover I'd be pretty annoyed.
1. servers/hosting are crap, people getting booted for hours at a time, crashes then oddball errors which *fix* themselves after a few hours and so on.
2. CSR support, I'm a big fan of the job our csr's do but recently they are as rare as kitin larvae in the desert, nearly all weekend I saw Aapeli in game once and Boroshi and Mokoi on CEB, uni chat is alot of spam, bugs all over the place, stupid errors (see 1) and we have no-one to help/whinge at
3. Screw any content sort that stupid flag/compass north/save on log off bug, losing flags/UI when you log is stupid and frankly silly it has been around so bloody long.
I've seen so many people quit over the last few weeks for perfectly good reasons and most of them should have been sorted ages ago!

Have to say I disagree with point 2. In recent weeks I had 2 issues that needed sorting by the CSR team and in both cases they were done quickly and with no fuss, exactly as I'd hoped.
Considering there's no money being generated by the game at the moment, I think the level of support is good. When people are paying for it then I would expect a higher CSR presence but at the moment I see no issue with it.
Has anyone had an issue that wasn't sorted within a reasonable* timescale?
* reasonable is subjective! However, try to take the current finincial state into account.

Flag/compass north/save on log is pretty annoying.
For better stability I recommend reboot server each morning (my time)

Is the ticket system still broken? If so, I'd rank that as more important than having CSRs hanging around lots.
Also, team map bugs desperately need fixing. Bloody annoying trying to rez someone based on "You're right by me! Over to the left..." etc., or getting there to discover the map was mislabelled and you've 'found' someone who's perfectly healthy but afk.
On the other hand, we do at least have a discernible presence of people who will-probably-get-round-to-actually-changing-things-once-billing-is-up. Ten times better than GF days (did they actually have devs, or just people employed to break things?).

Im willing to bet they would've quit anyway. Players will find "perfectly good reasons" to quit any MMO, nothing unusual there.
Of course the game has some issues that need to be fixed but imho they are not so bad to make someone quit over it.
Even if the game was perfect, you would still see people quitting.

Of course there are issues that should be addressed but even if everything was 100% perfect right now, you would still see many players quitting. Thats the life of any MMO, some will join, some will quit.
ofc, retention aint been that great seeing as the tidal wave influx is now over.
but you seriously think its ok they may take it to billing with a bug as bad as the UI loss one?

I dont know how good the retention has been (and neither do you), and we cant talk about actual retention before the billing is up anyway.
Of course it would not be ok to take it to billing with that bug but its too early to talk about this too
The UI loss bug has a huge potential to annoy players (new and old alike) so i think it should be on top of their priority list, and i have no reason to think it isnt.
