Windows positions/GUI config won't save

Ryzom isn't saving my config changes. Every time I startup, I'm back at square one with window positions, fonts, in-scene settings, etc.
I don't get any errors or crashes on shutdown and there don't seem to be any permissions issue on the files.
I know that I had this problem many years ago, but can't remember what the fix was.
Any ideas?

You probably right about the permissions, but for testing, move Ryzom out from 'Program Files' and to your Desktop. Check then.

Another "non-intuitive" one.
I've determined that it's not a saving issue. It just looks like one.
When I force DirectX mode, everything comes back the way that it was when I exited. (regardless of the resolution used)
When I use OpenGL in 1680x1050 mode, it moves all of the windows around to fit what looks a 1024x768 frame in the bottom left of the 1680x1050 screen. I was being thrown by the fact that my Universe chat warning and Mission windows came back periodically. I wasn't watching closely enough to realize that it didn't happen *every* time. It looks like some corruption occassionaly occurs at shutdown when I'm running OpenGL. There's a direct correlation with an NeL popup on exit. But the "framing" issue is 100% consistent.
Unfortunately, I have a recurring issue with Ryzom in DirectX mode when I have any other DirectX app running in background (like WinAmp). So I'll just live with the problem.
Thanks for the suggestions
