As an extremely new member to the game I am just wondering how certain we are that the game is going to start billing. I don't want to get too attched to the game if I am going to have to pay soon, I can only afford so many MMOs on a college budget.

Also, do we have any rumors as to exactly how the billing would work? Pay for content (like hellgate london)? Pay by month (WoW and COH)? Pay by expansion (Guild Wars)?


Just wondering, you guy have a great world going on here.

All we know is Ryzom will remain "free for everyone *at least* until the end of October". That would imply billing will start up again at some point but who knows when exactly, how much it'll cost, and what the payment plan(s) will be.

We can only speculate at this time, which isn't very helpful.

We can tell you it always used to be "Pay by month", but that's no guarantee it will be again either. The new owners might well decide to try if another payment system won't make the game more viable.
