thats gotta be a sick joke right?
16? - even 256 would be limiting but 16?

I noticed this for the first time last night also. I hate to say this, but the in game map systems sucks and needs to be dumped. The maps themselves don't really show that much detail. There are a limited number of bookmarks not to mention you can't even name things properly becuase you can't use spaces or puncuation.

This issue has been raised many times by players. Although I am not aware of any plans for it to be changed.

Actually I saw a thread somewhere a week or two ago (might have been a sticky in the Euro English forum - we do not have as many as we used to anymore
) where one of the resident moderators/GM's asked how many landmarks we wanted to be able to place. A good indication that they are considering allowing more I think.
