While it is a bit jarring to see these industrial tech-looking machines in the middle of nature's beauty, it is a very French thing to do.

Very good!
But not very well "documented", some things are plain wrong.
Now, what does that tell us?
"They" did not care to read enough, or the tutorial is less then optimal.
Probably both I guess.
