Spiderweb should speak loud and clear now.

Well, it's quite simple and i think i'm not the only one to have this feeling : in what it is so hard for Spiderweb to communicate with us ? I mean, they have bougt this game, all right, but they should understand that us players want to know what is going on, and what is the future of Ryzom.
Are you so busy that you can't even take five minutes to write a post ? Or is it that you have no idea of what you are doing ?
It can seem rude, it's just meant to be clear. This question is coming naturaly to the mind of the players after some time, no ?
Come on now, spit it out : Who are you, what is your plan with Ryzom.
If you don't speak you will start to lose players.
And please no polititian cant. This is not Age of Conan.

That actually doesn't matter, it's the fact that they've said jack squat that is worrisome. For those of us who are not sure whether to take this seriously or not, it's a bit of a big deal. I don't send money to random people, why should we subscribe to a game with owners who haven't really showed themselves?

I would really like something visible and identifiable before I submit my credit info. Thank you.

edit: this would be before the accounts become payable again.

I myself along with quite a few others, especially new players are wondering who they are and what their plans are. Even a rough idea on future plans would be nice.

Blackmail is an effective tool.

I for one will be here as long as the server is up. The question you have asked has been asked several times and unfortunately will continue like a broken record.

If you enjoy the game, stay until they ask for money. Then if you still don't feel secure then leave. The will introduce themselves when the time comes. When is that time? Sometime between when they are satisfied that the servers are stable, the code is reasonably clean, and they feel the conditions ripe to actually be able to make a profitable game out of it. Profit is the key to sustainability because it means new features and content. Without profit their will just be a game that never changes and a shrinking membership.

The plan will most likely become clear once they make the decision to start collecting revenue from Ryzom. Until then, all we can do is celebrate and enjoy. Research other games so that you can jump ship when you are no longer happy.

Happy Denizen of Ryzom

Good point, no player is going to leave while it's free. :)

I really, really, really, really, really can't wait for that post that tell us who Spiderweb is really, I don't really care if they have a plan or not, heck tell us your plan isn't all that clear, that's all good. Just throw us a bone. ;)

edit: my, overused the word really here.. o.o

Us older ones who've suffered enough already wouldn't mind knowing either. :p

You probably all know I want to know more as well.
If Spiderweb is serious, the owner(s) should start to take us serious. It's not much to ask that they present themselves, and stop hiding in the shadows.
We also need to know what the plans are, or the reason for buying this game in the first place

<Wishful Thinking>
Maybe they are going to let all the new free players enjoy the game, and near the end of the free period they will release a new major patch, that everyone will want to pay to play to keep enjoying, and then they will start giving us all decent news updates etc.
