5k500 mats here goes my bid.

That said and with all due respect :p Jack,

Using this thread to post the idea, I hope you don't mind my hijacking. I have no reason to doubt of that, and of course, it is your auction so you do as you well please. But just a thought, after watching this trend in past auctions: I tend to think auctions need to be at least half-public, there should be someone to "account for", a public face for other bidders, etc. Imho, either it is public (an aunction in the bazaar forum) or it is not. We've had our share of auction rigging and fishy practices in the past. (auctioners bidding on their own auctions, in the name of unexisting contendants). Personally, knowing who is bidding makes me decide whether to drop, etc.)

Maybe, for anonymous bidders, there could be some kind of proxy bidder, a guarantee, etc. Not that it solves the problem, but at least it is softened. But in my opinion, doing our best to stick to a set of "common practices" is beneficial. I am open to discussion, prolly I am being paranoid and having "anonymous" bidders is ok.

Thanks for reading,

Ani

Feel free to do that, of course, or any other player for what matters :o ) but let me point out that I was speaking more *generally*, your thread just raised the question when I was about to bid. Not that I have concrete doubts on this particular case tho.

Thanks
Ani

I confirm, the bid of 6k is valid --- and I know who to spank if it isn't :-)

Thanks for your consideration!

Ani

Ps: I will not outbid those 6k
