Prime Roots

All these changes going on in the prime roots.
There are a few things I'd like to hear from Nevrax to go along with them.
#1) is a story with it. Obviously groups could travel through them before in the storyline, why all these Kitin blockades now?
#2) Make the Kitins fight their enemies down there. It is totally unrealistic to see Kitins getting along with tribes and bandits of Homins. This needs to be more like predator/prey relationships. Also, Kitins are a bit superflous and omni present. Can we get some other big bad guy for way down in the roots? Goo mobs, ghosts, dragons, whatever.
#3) What exactly is Nevrax's vision for inter-race communication and travel? right now it is coming to a screeching halt for those without the advantage of having already been through the roots. If Nevrax seriously intends to blockade all of us in until we have level 200 guild groups, they need to say so we can get the rioting over with. Otherwise we need to have some other indicator of what is going on. Ryzom right now plays as having an extra 4 sub-server populations. Lets not make it too easy, but please allow some meaningful interaction.
#4) Some official word on what is intended for the prime roots in regards to travel, foraging, etc. Instead of upset foragers and rumors of declaring the foraging profession to be an exploit.

Well I can't comment too much on the roots, but I agree if there are homins down there that doesnt make much sense.
However travel between areas is not as constricted as you think. Many people have gotten from zone to zone and you can do it with a well organized group or two. Personally I like it being difficult - it makes seeing a foreigner in your land an event and an accomplishment.
The homins have to overcome many struggles to unite, but we can do it.

You obviously haven't been down there.
The vast majority of people who traveled to different zones did so BEFORE the first set of changes were implemented, let alone the second.

Man, even more than constantly getting slaughtered, watching those kitin patrols and root tapper tribes meet, mesh, and carry on with their business, bugged the living hell out of me.

And all those ugly "Cute" midgets just wandering around with their hands in the air . . . I'd LOVE to see some of those bite the dust.

I have to agree with your second point. BG and I were up in the Outback the other day watching bands of homins and solo hawkers blithely run up and down the hills in between huge bands of awesome kinchers. While we managed to make it past them ourselves (temporarily), it was more of a screaming undiginified "ohIhatethisplaceandI'mgonnadiiiiiiiiiieeee!" dash than a slow, stately progression.
I compare that to the Shadow Runners (I think) near Void who are under almost constant attacks by groups of Torbaks. They are constantly fighting to keep the torbaks at bay in their camp there. They have huge armed guard parties. We actually ended up in a couple of fights alongside them because there were instances that I really thought they would completely lose their town (and because the torbaks attacked us in the middle of the town
). It's a dangerous and fragile existance and it adds a lot to the storyline.
I also look forward to the days when harvesters can forge out a place in the Primes. It would be interesting if a guild could actually hold a settlement down there. I also thought it would be interesting later in the game to have 'escort guides' to ferry people through the primes. When I see all the empty settlements, I can't help but think of days when guilds will be able to hold them and build them up. Even though I have no guild, I find that part exciting.
Tin.

Svayvti, Commitatus Praeotian has been going down to the Prime Roots and junting there for EXP as well as traveling through them to get to Aeden Aqueous. We've gotten dozen's of people through in the last few days so I don't see how you say people can't travel through the Prime Roots. Actually, the only things we found down there that we couldn't defeat was the Kitin Patrol and the kitinegas.

I've seen you guys down there and there is a lot more than that you can't kill. I also heard tales of the death tolls. If you think you can handle stuff that easily, I'd really love to see a march from umbra roots into Fyros lands. It gets progessively much worse even without the patrols. Keep in mind also that Umbra is the easiest of the roots. Mobs are often easily 50 levels lower on average. Even the door guards are two awesome kinchers rather than 6 great kinchers.
If you can't kill these things you can't really "survive" for an extended amount of time. Its just a slower crawl than the mad dash I make around in the roots as I still harvest my black and white mostly choice materials.
Furthermore I don't think uber large guild raids should be necessary for inter-continental travel.
But what I really want is a statement from Nevrax.

Well as a member of CP i can say this about our trips to Trykerland...
1) We came.........
2) We saw........
3) We kicked but.....
......I and 5 others got to trykerlands with no DP. In the end we had a group of about 9-11 make it to the beaches, we had in the group to start at the zora side of the PR about 15, we had discos, crashes, people that just laged behind and some were not use to moving in the PR.....you can kill anything there with a group on one mob fight....but not patrols....hell we killed 3 gardians boss things and all were on us at once.....in all 11 made it to the beaches....from the beaches we moved to the capital...at the first portal we did lose 1/2 the group...but.....3-4 of the people that did not make it already had the fairhaven spawn...so that did not matter.
Then today to mop it all up. We went back taking the same route with more people. Killing our way threw most everything there..all made it to trykerlands with no DP......
Now .......
After that is the fryos try at the undersprings....But we had to many.....2 1/2 groups we were well over 20....we took out the great kinchers at the gates no probs and we have found that 5 people with the right stuff can do it.....however there were 2 patrols right there upon exit and everyone did die.....gave that up real quick...no biggy we just went over to bounty beaches and leveled like crazy off the cutes..
To sum it all up i just wanna know as well what is the stance that should be taken to the PR....it seems that they dont want anyone down there i mean kinchers wow they r tough if your one....but many we are stong....if you dont want us down there slap a patrol right at the door....but that will not matter cause we will figure a way threw it....
I am not sure what you at Nevrax want from us but what i know is we need guild quests because right now as we try to keep the guild occupied with stuff to do between levelinand building fame...we have found the only thing to do is raiding the PR...so untill then see ya in the roots.
