hello! new player needs some help!

i just downloaded the client and got my verification email for ryzom. but when i start game and click on "Create Account" it just takes me too a black screen. please help me start my free trial

im getting "error: cant connect (code 1)

did you download the client from the Ryzom website? It should be able to connect.
Also check your firewall settings.

No, you don't need to do that. You shouldn't even do that. All you have to do is give your user full permission to the installation directory of Ryzom, and make sure there is nothing in the VirtualStorage (Compatibility Files). See Technical forums.
