Adios...see you in a year

Thought I would say goodbye for a year. This game is sadly boring as hell in the higher levels...and with patch 2 not coming till AFTER the billing cycle...I will not be getting a sub. The problems with this game have been detailed by many people so I'm not going to go over them. Oh and I know...I won't let the door hit me on the way out....and I know ..good riddence...and yes..no one will miss me...I know all this already. The ONLY thing that will be missed is my money.

See you in a year when I come back for round 2.

Man, i thought you were in the military and were deploying or something. Oh, well, not good ridence or anything prickish like that, but every game can't be for everyone. Good luck finding one that suits you.

Hate to see ya go, but I think yu're being a little pre-mature. At least give it another month or two. Wait until AFTER patch 2 and then make your decision.

Ever played EQ a few weeks after its initial release ? It was a piece of crap, look at it now.

Well thats exactly his reason for leaving for a year. He fully expects the game to improve but doesn't want to spend his money on it waiting for that to happen. I'm sure there were plenty of people that left EQ and went back to it at a later date.

This thread is the PERFECT example of why i love the Ryzom community! In the WoW, EQ, EQ2, or any other forum he would have gotten flamed all the way to hell. That always bugs me! He is just stating his feelings and everyone here understands that and respects that and wishes him well.

I just wanted to say that i for one appreciate the ryzom players =)

And i too want to reiterate not to give up on the game totally. Definatly come back and check it out soon. The skill system is so much fun its keeping my attention long enough for a couple more patches i think. But i just started so i can understand people that have played since launch getting burned out some.

Seeya soon,
Bean

I think there will be a serious improvements in the game once patches 1 and 2 have been implemented with the introduction of mounts and guild quests. IMO I think you shouldn't come back in a year, make it 2-3 months ;)

you forgot the "can i have your stuff" post :D

i'm stepping out too, but i'm not to sure if i'll come back.

sucks that in all the mmorpg's you have to wait for patch x for the stuff that should have been out at launch to show up.

Not to criticize, but I noticed that you're leaving due to it getting boring in the higher levels. This leads me to believe that you are a "power gamer", and blew right through the game, without really experiencing it.

MMORPG's like this game, and World of Warcraft believe it or not, are not made with power gamers in mind. Hell, I've seen people already past the half way mark to the level cap, and the games only been out a month! They'll also be posting "there's nothing to do..." posts in the next few weeks.

Play the game as it was designed, go slowly, explore, meet new people, start a community, etc. Nevrax created a beautiful world, take your time and enjoy it.
