Ryzom

Dear Ryzom fans,

As you know, we recently re-opened Ryzom to a set of VIP players to play for free (specifically, those of you who had paid accounts at the very end). They quickly set about digging, crafting, killing Kitins and generally getting back into the swing of things in the Ryzom tradition.

It looks like all our efforts have paid off; we're very glad to hear that things are running very smoothly and that so many people came back and connected so quickly after all this time. We feel that this really shows how dedicated you all are to Ryzom; that's very wonderful and gratifying for us to see. Thanks to you - all our Ryzom’s Fans.

Since the Kitin have swarmed and been running around enjoying themselves for a while devastating Atys with nobody to oppose them, we need you to regain control of the world and push them back. Because of this, we have now decided to re-open the game in a few days for free to ALL ACCOUNTS, Free Trial included. This means that everyone who has an active account, including Free Trial ones, will be able to return to Ryzom and join in the fun for free! This should happen shortly next week.

Until then if you already have a VIP access to the servers then please continue to enjoy yourself, but if not; don't worry, you'll soon be bashing Kitins and enjoying Ryzom with everyone else again!

Great news! but does this mean that people will be able to create new free trial accounts, or just that people that previously had a free trial account will be able to play?

I was under the impression that the VIP players where the only ones who had 'active accounts' because they where subbed at the end? If you didn't have a paid account your account wasn't active?

Can someone please explain?

This is GREAT news, although it was great to be able to gain access to Atys, lots of friends, for one reason or another, couldn't login, so it felt a little hollow.

I would also like to say on a positive note, its great to see the new owners being so pro-active, stuff seems to be happening fairly quickly, specualtion measured the proper opeing of Atys in weeks, but its been done in days, GRATZ on a job well done, we really need to keep the momentum going.

I'm asking guilds in other games to consider moving to Atys, I would encourage others to try similar things, to help get the "push" going.

It would be great to give prospective players accurate information on dates. subscriptions etc. if possible.

I think they mean people who had a full account when they stopped charging for playing the game.

Full = paying to play and can go to mainland
Free trial = not paying and can only play on Silan
VIP = someone who was paying subs right up till they stopped billing (i.e. those that could continue to play for free till the servers went down)
