Sorry to be dumb and if this is the wrong place but I am new to Ryzom and just got into Mainlands at lvl30.

How do I join in the story ingame and get involved with events and so forth?

Am I missing stuff?

the 'story' isn't going on too much atm, because us lot are more interested in helping others, the races aren't at war too much atm (crosses fingers)

As for the events, theres loads going on atm, see the announcements area, and in the other chats for those.

The Shaman Oba one atm is one of the best, the invasions are also worth checking out; but expect death penalty if low level

A great way to get to know what is going on is to join a guild. There is a guild section on this forum that you can read around at and find one that seems good for you.

Don't ever worry that you've posted something in the wrong place Warren, the important thing when you are a new player is being able to get your questions answered and there's always someone here who will be pleased to help you. Check out the player-guides in here too. There are some very knowledgeable players who have posted extremely useful advice threads

I read at alot of ryzom sites about some ambasdoor event going on and its ment to be the MOST FUN! ever...

But how do I get involved I found a ambasdoor at tryker town but all i can do is get missions but none are there..

I missing out on something cool?

Keep an eye out in region chat.I have noticed that some of the guides give clues to what is going on.The other night oba was insulting a guide in region and said where he was. I just ran into the town mentioned and watched the show from there

Warren you will find that unlike most other MMORPG's Ryzom has much more of a live style, the major plot will be introduced through events that are advertised either on region chat by some NPC/ Player shouting about it and as reports and stories on these Boards.

You are not missing out on anything by not findin thw 'Missions'. Hopefully sometime in the near future there will be a deeper set of missoins and some more story based stuff available.

For now my best suggestion is get stuck in find people in game, lots of people need different stuff, the best part of the game is interactting with others.

Good luck and dont feel worried that you are missing any thing as nothing has realy started yet.
