Hello dear players!

I wanted to inform you about the possibility that all may not be lost, for our one true love Ryzom.
Its atmosphere, its background and its unique world may well stay on in our minds an as the (RP³) Ryzom Pen & Paper Project.

Back to the roots will be our creed here.
And so, a few others and me, have started a while ago to collect facts and Info about Ryzom to create a traditional Roleplaying Game from all the bits and pieces.
Chanchey, Isdiran, Rheanon (Leanon) Komissar, Beauturkey and Indiferret (Arispotle) have banded together to hopefuly make a dream come true.

If now a new Owner for Ryzom is found, so RedBrick ltd. will help us with legal issues and optaining the license.
They allready got Earthdawn and Fading Suns under "Print on Demand" license, wich some of you might now allready.

I´ve met James Flowers the CEO of RedBrick last year on the german Spiel07, (the bigest european Games fair) and he was very exited about the prospect of publishing such a unique world under his lable. Even if it would not be a real commercial hit, Print on Demand makes it possible.

What kept me from publishing our plans of course were all the license probelms, but with a possible solution to all that looming on the horizon, I just wanted to give you a chance to state your mind about our Idea and maybe if you would buy such a Game.

:)

Definitely yes!

If you're successful in licensing this, there wouldn't really be the need to collect all the bits 'n' pieces, but instead you could get support from the new owner, shouldn't you?

Now seeing that I'm the only one who voted no, I feel compelled to explain myself :p

I play Ryzom for the people, the politics, the randomass DP hunts, and the beautiful graphics and mechanics. The lore and setting are intricate and fascinating, and I adore that aspect - but not enough to play P&P. Best of luck with this Acri, Atys will never die. :)

Yes of course, but first there´s got to BE a new owner.
And it´s better to be prepared and have an early start ;)

Of course I would ! It would be a great change from D&D 3.5 (that I love, but it isn't THE only P&P RPG out there.)

So I'm wondering what would be the base system inspired from... D20, Whitewolf, GURPS, Shadowrun ? I would love to test it and host a game at my college.

I love Ryzom and and love P&PRPGs... best of both worlds... :D

I chose no, only because personally I would not buy or even participate in P&P RPGs. I love ryzom's story and lore only in a 3D, live, enchanting environment. But I'm not against the idea for those who enjoy P&P RPGs and maybe I will get into it in future.. who knows? ^.^
