Ryzom 2.0 how would it look it according to you ?

Just to start a little debate to spice up things around here.

If Ryzom 2.0 (what ever the next major version number may be) was possible, what would it look like according to you ?

P.S. : do not post anything about Ryzom having no future, being dead, pointless , bugs to be fixed in current versions or the likes. This is just speculations about how we would like Ryzom 2.0 to be like so we do not need negative comments/replies. Just stike to the subject.

- Accessible Canopy.

- More Rites.

- Dynamic missions.

- Botany skill tree. This could involve a different form of harvesting, such as gardening...the maintenance and manipulation of plants, both that you've grown and that are already extant in the world...efforts to keep the ecosystem in balance...new types of missions and Rites...etc etc etc.

- NPCs have branching conversation trees and what they say has some degree of dependency on context. The type of replies you choose affects their responses, and perhaps pissing the wrong people off even makes you lose fame. Talking to the right person at the right time with the right conversation course triggers the appearance of new missions. While firmly avoiding the classic exclamation-mark-floating-overhead, there would be some cue to indicate the time is right for a particular NPC, such as them talking about their concern in Around occasionally. This would also give you clues as to how to converse with them.

- Ability to invite other players into your apartment.

- Craftable apartment furnishing and (re)decoration.

- Can preview how items look before buying them from merchants or accepting them in trade.

- Ring has options for unattended/permanent scenario hosting.

- Few-clicks forest generation in the Ring editor.

- You can include merchants in your Ring scenarios who accept either dappers or tokens obtainable only in that scenario, and sell whatever the AM has given them from their own inventory.

- More and better live storyline events.

- In-game lore sources, i.e. libraries.

- Craftable blank books which can be written in and sold (or sold blank, to be bought and written in by those who don't want to or can't craft them themselves).

- Personal library in apartment. Guild library in guild apartment. These can contain both books and amber cubes.

- Alternative ways to discover amber cubes that are not available from Rites (rediscovering truly lost knowledge).

- The ability to have decorative pets, i.e. a yubo that follows you around.

- Alternative ways to obtain and hold outposts, coupled with PvE threats to outpost security, such as tribe/bandit/Marauder/Kitin attacks.

- Several alternative ways to obtain Elevation Crystals. Flowers could be obtained via the aforementioned botany skills.

- More support for roleplaying, i.e. an optional set of tooltips containing useful RP information.

- Sittable chairs.

- Completely non-rigged Episode 2-like building system applied to cities, outposts, fresh settlements and colonies, etc. This would allow existing facilities to be expanded and improved, and new ones established, in a manner supportive of the concept of "rebuilding our civilisations."

- Tools for video makers, such as camera path planning and a hideable target reticle.

- Have a board in guild apartments with its texture depicting various notes and papers stuck to it. When clicked on, this board triggers the opening of the Guild Forum window. Maybe the texture and model even changes depending on how many posts are in the forum (not precise, just something like "model+texture A for no posts, B for 10 posts or less, C for 11-25, D for 26-50, E for 51-100, F for 101+").

- More of Atys accessible.

- Other planets accessible, and whatever effects that would have on Atys. Massive storyline development would have to occur first.

Nice suggestions!

- possibility to "link" jewels, armours and maybe weapon together so that we can equip / unequip a complete set instead of clicking each individually.

- "sell all" button at merchants (to sell the grind crafts)

- more hair styles, colours and tatoos

- more armours and colours

- dynamic tilte, indicating position in guild (member, officer, high officer, guild leader) and in team (teamleader)

- possibility to see content room and GH outside them

- guild forums with more editing possibilities

- personal ig notebook

- more advanced ig email system

- Postoffice where one can leave item(s) to be picked up by a certain homin (and only the mentioned homin or yourself can pick them up)

- similar system allowing guild member to pick an item from the GH which was meant for them

- owners of an OP get a respawn at OP location

- during PvP: auras help all nearby homins under same faction, not just team members

- wheel of fortune and missions sometimes give consumables as reward: heal HP, speed, invul

- room and GH locations are indicated on the map

- possibility to copy an action to another page on the hands bar

-Having player housing in the other cities, not just the Capital.

-A craft tree for cooking/brewing food and beverages with different effects and efficiencies.

-The capacity to build shelves/coffers/wardrobes for more storage space.

-Being able to build stables at outposts

-Being able to own more mektoubs...

-The possibility to use optionnal color pigments to change an armour's color
without changing the properties.

Hot coffee.

I would love to see all existing and known bugs fixed for a start. Esp the Ryzom Ring Bugs. I believe the Ring holds so much potential, in Ryzom 2.0 I would carry on and further develop existing ideas like R2.

- Dynamic missions with an impact on the world opposed to the current static system in place; or just in addition to the current system. Once fullfilled the missions will disapear for all players till needed again. With a possibility of granting slightly greater rewards. (no, rather not items :p )

- More dynamics in bandit and tribal behavior and their place in the gameworld; let players contribute to their rise in power or downfall, let them carry out their actual stance towards players, governements, factions and other tribes.

- Dynamic threats to the gameworld, as per the bandits and tribes but by Kitins and Marauders with real posibilities of setbacks. fe: have the Kitin nests build up in strength in their lairs and if not kept in check by the player population you get massive assaults on the towns. We're suposed to live in dangerous times. ;)

- Dynamism in nation and faction politics on an npc level but to which players can contribute. Add real presence of the powerhouses on Atys; the Guild of Try, the Guild of Karavia, ... but also the Chruch of Light, the Zoraï Warlords, ... and let them have a function and interaction. (both players and npc)

- A covert presence of the Guild of Elias, really, anything, they're suposed to be around scheming and plotting and swaying homins away from the path into oblivion. Even if it's just hard to find npcs that share some lore with a different view.

- A use for all statistics on craftable items.

- A musician or entertainer skilltree. How can a Tryker enjoy the merry life if I can't play my Tryker kazoo? :p "Old McDowell had a farm, ieya ieya oooo!"

- Thieving skills! So I can finally ninja-loot. :p

- An optional pvp-flag loose from Faction pvp. Imo current system in place is way to restrictive and only benefits those with a certain RP.

- Expanding availability of melee/ranged/magic skills including alternate animations.

- More weather features. I want those sandstorms back in, I'd want the rain to pour so heavily it limits visibility, I'd want to need to seek shelter from the heat or cold or dress apropriatly.

- The ability to cratf RP props; pipes, jugs, flasks, hats, capes, ...

- An oceanic area with creatures of the deep. And boats, ... boats! And naval battles! Yarrr! Plunder!

-New races
-new environments/regions/maps (canopy for example)
-Updated graphics (i love the actual graphics but if we're talking about Ryzom 2 it seems logical to add a few more polygons doesnt it ? Wont do no harm)
-NPC voicing
-NPC interaction : NPCs walk up to merchants to buy stuff, stop and turn to look at you when you click on them and say something, interact with each other, duel, dig, craft, go to the bar for a drink, guards doze off on sentry duty or get told off for not holding their weapon properly etc..
-New faun/flora
-New rites
-New armor skins/colors, weapon patterns etc.
-New selection of tattoos/hairstyles and the possibility of wearing body tattoos.

The list is endless...
