Let's talk about feelings...

Hail homins!

During the past month with absolute silence from GM's, after the news of bankrupcy and all that mess, i feel like things have gone "fine". But somewhere in my brain there's a little voice (not a leprechaun and/or other creatures) that every moment that i log in the game is asking me: "Man, the game works, but what have happened with bankrupcy issue?" And that little voice is right, I still have the feeling that I (as other homins, i guess) am not very sure about if there's an happy ending or i'm wasting time training skills for nothing (despite the good moments that every day I have with all of you)

the way i see it, these weeks/months of not knowing shud be used to simply have fun with those that are still here playing. Yes, it is posiible that we may be gaining skills we "may" lose, but so what. we're having fun right? so lets just enjoy the game. i also have the same uncertain voice but i have chosen that no matter what happens to ryzom, if i can play it, I will be here playing :)

*hopes more people will join the fun*

I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

.... gaining skills for nothing? what are you going to use these skills for if the game _DOESN'T_ die? i really can't understand this argument AT ALL. i've never played thinking about how what i'm doing now is so that i can do something else 2 weeks from now. i've always played going "Jeez, i can't wait to jump in game and flirt with all the beautiful women, bash some monsters over the head, or dig holes into Atys to further the "Swiss Cheese Project"! "

i play to have fun. i play for the NOW. how are people seeing this argument? someone fill in the blanks for me? "I'm gaining levels today so that tomorrow i can _______ "

...?

The skills are just "the game". It's playing with your friends and the family we've become that counts. Why waste a moment of that which doesn't have to be wasted?

For me, in the end, it doesn't matter if I gain 5 masters and lose them. It's the friends I gain that I won't lose.

Were there no buyers, the game would have died weeks ago. Ergo there are buyers - so unless for some reason they all pull out at the last minute; Ryzom will be bought. So, no, no little voice of uncertainty. Several other little voices, but none pertaining to Ryzom. :D

I wanted to answer something along those lines. However, you found the better wording Saraii.

Maybe you need to make some new friends. This is a great opportunity to do that.

The "troubles" have given me a chance to get outside my guild and faction and old social circles and meet some great people I might not have otherwise. I'm not glad that so many have left or just stay away, but I am very glad to know the people I have met since October.

I'm still having fun. :D

I would have to agree with everyone Net, esp Saraii and Sasi. These "lean" times have allowed me to meet and get to know some pretty amazing people. Whatever the destination may be, just enjoy the ride. :)
