ive been playing mmorpgs a long time, many years...

i have read the features overview of this game, it sounds interesting, not a typical game model from the sound of it...which is good, i like innovation in design.

i do like pve gameplay somewhat, if it does not seem too terribly contrived and is not...too literally a grind.

i read the different pvp features, which is interesting, im more used to open world pvp, i enjoy challenging environments...

i'd like to hear about each facet from those who know...how is it?

keep in mind i am what i consider a casual to avid player, a pvp vet, i prefer solo or small group gameplay mostly...

also, i would wonder if there is a server that tends to be more pvp focused than others.

im starting with the trial, i imagine i wont see much pvp just from that, which is why i ask this here...i havent actually even logged into the game environ yet (still downloading)

edit> also because i havent found the info, i wonder what the game costs initially and recurringly. thx.

thx for any info/answers.

hey, first check out http://forums.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31491

apart from that, theres not bad pvp in this game, consensual, 1v1, team v team, guild v guild, faction v faction, alliance v alliance, also the odd gank which always brings a bit of drama. For the main part it involves good sportsmanship and a challenge to the most experienced player.

Looking at and outpost battle from a distance for example is great to watch, a flood of spells reining down on each side, cries of death ongoing for 2 hours, but there is very detailed customized spells/melee attacks/heals/strategies involved that will keep the most experienced players and pvps on thier toes.

Hope you get the chance to experience it all. Its a great game

re your edit: game costs nothing, free to download, monthly recuring fee of about 15$/€
