Hi, already posted this in the general forum, maybe i ve more luck here.

Can t solve my graphical issues with this game.

In directx mode i ve lot of glitches on screen, streaks and squares in the landscape. Seems to be worse in town and when logging in.

In open GL it's better but than i only can do window mode and menu's are bugged.

Tried a lot of things mentioned in this thread, got all new drivers etc.

Apart from this and some lag the game is running smoothly up to the highest settings.

Any suggestions or ETA when this gets solved?
thx

I have an ATI Radeon 9800Pro and i don't have any problems at all in DirectX mode.
(OpenGL is full of corruption though, but that's also why Nevrax tells you not to use OGL with ATI cards.)

I recognize the glitches you describe for your card in DirectX mode though, they can be caused by heat. Ryzom really makes your video card work compared to older games (My own system runs a bit hotter with Ryzom than the majority of my other games).
Check the airflow in your computer case and if you've overclocked anything, go back to standard settings.

i assume your running directx 9 also, the x800 is a dx9 card so it may be worth looking into that

the otehr thing is perhaps installign the omega drivers over the standard cataylsts im using omegas on my 9600 with no issues at all

Thx for the replies,

No overclocking and heat doesnt seem to be the problem, the problem starts direct when i log in btw.

Yes, latest version, 9.0c i think, tried the omega drivers too.

Bah seems i m stuck :(

Turn AGP off in the BIOS.

I have ATI Radeon 9800Pro, not overclocked, with the AGP turned off (Planetside didn't like AGP).

Ryzom went through a real bad time with the ATI cards, and I did some fiddling to get it to work. (Sorry can't remember everything I did)

But the main thing I do remember is is the AGP is bad on these cards.

A short rope to a drowning man, hope it helps, if not sorry.

If you have to turn off AGP with a Radeon 9800 Pro then you have some serious problems with your motherboard or video card.

I have a 9800 XT and run with all quality and graphics effects switched to high and have no glitches whatsoever.
