so myself and a guild were discussing player events, an idea that was developed is a sneaking contest / race. basically a group starts at the void and has to get to zora, obviouslly without Tps. make it have multiple tracks, PR, matis lands, BB (if your insane lol). just get donated prizes to give away to the winner of each race.

event date: sep 22

rules
- no tp usage
- refs will stand guard at all TPs in the area
- its a race, meaning everyone starts at once and first to get to the destination wins
- all travel is on foot.

if you respond that want you to race, please say if it will be in the high or low level race.

Void to zora going through matis/pr/bb ?.....

*coughs* i'm sorry i'm horribly confused void to zora is a quick 10 minute run, from end to end >.>

why not have it something like from pyr to void? or from fairhaven to pyr? those are -really- challenging, and have many many different ways to arrive to the destination... this is where people can be in their own 'zone' .. some ppl prefer The Ramp for the desert-jungle trek, others go through US. fairhaven to pyr would be insanely difficult!

maybe make 2 races? one for the levels 1-150, another for the 150-250?

thats fine, honestly i just have the idea. i havent been everywhere and im no master at sneaking.

I don't see how level would/should have anything to do with it. Sneaking is about player skill.

Cenaeri would gleefully participate in such an event.

herm, at the time i was thinking HP, (in case you get hit.. being 1 hit will increase your time DRAMATICALLY) speedup times, invuln times, mpa times.. etc... the difference between a level 50 that can hardly afford those first powers and a level 250 that has max times on powers can make quite the difference imo...

Does yer level affect how you pull aggro?

You forgot one, Fairhaven-Pyr through Lands of Umbra. I made that one last week for the heck of it. And it's rather challenging, especially for non-factioned players since you can hardly respawn; not like I needed too, but not everyone has Tryker grace or rogueish expertise I guess.

A shame I forgot to time it.

What's going to prevent this from becoming a simple trekking race wherein people just use brute force and fancy actions whenever they encounter trouble, instead of avoiding the trouble in the first place?
