After so many flamed and locked threads i think would be nice to hear what would you (kamis, neutrals, karas) do to make ALL homins happy again and stop political war on forums? Please everyone who know a good suggestion, step up and tell us. You can talk for your faction, for your guild or just for yourself here.

Please dont use these suggestions :

1. One faction unsubscribe
2. Removal of OP, cats or any content
3. Adding any content by devs

This decision must be done by players only, without any interfere of GF.

Anyone have any good idea?

How about a grand tour of Atys, every single homin, regardless of faction/guild, an army of death, with MANDATORY participation, like a show of force for the WHOLE population, that we can make an effort to pull together.

Then maybe a trip to a kitin lair, I didn't get to the last one, but the video was very inspiring, I reckon we could kick the crud out of them if we all go

unfortunately, no a so constructive answer regarding what suggestions you dont want to talk about...

I'm here for more than 2 years now, got several masters, a lot of 150+ and 200+ skills, i can trek everywhere on my own, escort new guildies for a world tour, duo or trio bosses......
The only thing that could break monotony now is some events. I dont talk about "escort events" like we had one week ago (this kind of event could have distracted me one year ago - and was a good one tho, but not for all players), but kitin events...
Nowadays, every kami/kara think the kara/kami is the menace, who still think that the biggest menace are the kitins -as it supposed to be-...?
The only thing breaking our usual grind are op battles and only op battles...i'm not surprised then by this "war atmosphere".
Maybe Riveit can open his "op battle agenda" and tell us if there was some battles during the kitins exterminators event, and a forum addict tell us if there was flame war on the general ? If there was some, i really dont remember, was too busy killing the biggest menace on atys.

Even if you dont want a "new content by devs", my answer is : kitin lair, kitin invasion, kitin mass murdering, this will keep us busy.



ps : hihi, just remember that it worked for me....commun goal... i even teamed with doubletap for the tryker exterminator...

Events are all nice and dandy but imho all the fuzz atm is around OPs...

Therefore I have 2 suggestions:
1. More outposts with each outpost producing significantly less cats.
2. Tie the OPs closely to a faction make it really a kara/kami op, not just a drill and then treat the OPs exactly how you intended to treat spires: The more Ops a faction has the less guards it can spare to guard them... Cause guards aren't infinite So when a faction has 20 Ops it will have a much harder time defending those 20 then a faction that has just 5 (figuratively speaking)...

If you do that we will soon have the balance back and the Op wars will still continue for fun dominance or whatever...

Atm the forces are almost equal (with just a little bit more "kami friends") so it's not like the evil kara horde will be stamping out the oh so few but brave and skillfull kami warriors...

More events where the Kitin are the enemy would unite the factions as it always has. However, that requires GF to intervene....

To be honest, if people relaxed a bit and actually tried to get along everything would be fine.
Its perfectly possible to fight over OPs and not get nasty about it - and if someone/some guild changes their alliance - just live with it rather than spouting rubbish in /region and on the forums.

Just try to see things from the other persons point of view once in a while, and don't let the few idiots determined to try to spoil the game for others affect you. (You now who they are, senders of abusive emails, killers of diggers etc - just ignore them)

Also, allow old grudges to die and forgive people when they upset you - even if they don't apologise.

Remeber at the end of the day its a game not real life. relax and enjoy yourself don't squabble so.

And yes I know I don't always manage to attain the above myself - but I try and as a result I have spoken very few unkind words to anyone, and am keen to be friends with people on both (or all 3 including neutrals) sides.

I did something. I pressed the cancel button yesterday. That removes one more opposition inside a faction.

Hi Everyone,

I open-beta'd this Ryzom way back in 2004, then played from release into early Jan before taking a 2+ years break and returning (on a new fresh account);

HOWEVER, I do remember this as an event:-


Dyron (and others) were overrun by kitins; we the homins had to speak with various NPC and accept missions, which were either slaughter the kitns, dig the kitin lavae, or the most enjoyable to me... craft armour.

When armour was crafted under an event mission; more gaurds would spawn, fighting back the kitins.

Iirc, this lasted weeks; before Dyron (were i was based), finally regained control and drove the kitins back.



So all you old timers out there; wouldnt you like that kinda stuff back?
And those who came afterwards, i am sure you would enjoy this
