who wants a rollback of this patch

Ok so who is tired of this patch problems? runtime error still there, map bookmarks are gone, have to redo all settings....and whats the advantage?
why not remove this patch until you are able to do it right? why expose the few players left to more frustration?
No funds? incompetent programmers? no problem at all, i'll stick with it as i did for two years. If you are not capable of improving it its ok, but PLEASE dont make it worse.

Hmm frankly I don't experience any of the above mentioned problems...
And Threads like this one certainly won't do the game, the community and especially the newbies any good...

GF actually attempted to improve the game and the improvement was a very interesting concept - fitting in with the the feell and the complexity of the game totally... If there are some minor drawbacks accompanyiing it - I am sure they are working on it and will fix em all soon.

*believes in GF*

P/S Threads like this one should be taken to technical part of the forums imho ... This has been discussed a gazillion times over and over again, so if you have nothing to talk about and just want to draw attention - why not discuss the weather in PR instead...

Im happy for you, but many players do experience the above mentioned problems and you know what? thats simply not right. When a patch does not work as intended it should be removed until fixed....common sense, dont you agree?
You say threads like this wont do the game any good? I doubt threads like this can harm the game more than releasing a faulty patch and leaving it unfixed for weeks.
As mentioned already in these forums many new players were lost because of this buggy patch.
I am still here after 2 years, so i do love this game as anyone else but that does not mean i have to defend every blatant mistake they make.

P.S. Hope you noticed i ignored your offending sarcasm komissar....and i'll leave it at that.

The new players would not have even seen or experienced those bugs. So it's the forum "discussions" of bugs that scared the new players away, not the bugs themselves. And alas you are only making it worse...

2 years you say :) The line under your avatar says Aug 2006... It's sept 2007 now...

Sorry for sarcazm but thing is posts like this won;t change anything. GF is already working on it as we have been told but the new guys who come here to read this move on to next game with: "Wtf this game is full of bugz" approach..

This is my second account, would have to reactivate my first one to check the exact date i started playing Ryzom.
Posts like this wont change anything? very likely indeed :(
New guys who come here will ignore this post if game works for them without bugs (rather unlikely).
I might be wrong but i believe that defending obvious mistakes does this game no favor.
Players wont be lost over negative forum posts (check the wow forums), but players will be lost over game bugs and issues that last for weeks and months (check vanguard).
Its not a lot to ask from the devs, roll back this patch until its fixed, whats the point in exposing so many players to frustrating issues?

I don't want to start an argument here with any one, but I have to add a bit here...

I have experienced all the bugs that came with the patch. Strangely, they seemed to be quite random. One min I could make a flag with out crashing, the next I couldn't...don't quite understand why that might be, but that is how it was for me. Also had the run-time error on exiting the game.

Now...I don't make flags any more, so no problem there, and I haven't had the run-time error for a week now, I am very pleased to say.

But...and this is a big but, because it affects the new players. I invited my old guildies to come try the game, seeing as I like it so much :) So made an alt to go help them on silan (both myself and my husband)

The problems I have there are worse than on the mainland. I don't make a flag, so I don't get that crash, well not the one related to markers anyways. But for some odd reason, I/we both get the run time error on exiting, every time. Why on silan and not the mainland I have no idea.

I can play on full settings on the mainland, not on silan due to terrible lag, again, it is beyond me why there and not on mainland.

So, this is the reason for my joining this thread, not to fuel any arguing, but to point out there are some problems that need addressing, even if not all the players are experiencing them. Our playtime on silan is defo not up to par with the rest of the game.

I also have faith in GF...just hope for the new players sake, the fix for those who are affected by the problems is on its way very soon :)

This is correct and exactly what happened with some friends of mine.

If you have a tech problem with the game, post in the tech forum, not run a "Poll" like this. GF are aware that some people are experiencing difficulties. They are working on it.

I personally have no problems running Ryzom, I hope people that do, get sorted out as quickly as possible.

kay, have you sent GF a ticket with details of your system and any information that might help them solve your problem? If so, good deal, hope you get it worked out soon.

If not...

FWIW, I haven't had any of these problems before or after. I've had an occasional crash in the time I've played, but no more now than at any time in the past. Less than most games or other programs.

So, no vote from me. Happy before, happy now. Hope GF keeps moving forward.

I wasn't either Komi til I made a map marker the other day. It's pretty nasty... Many of us rarely make new markers, and apparently some configs make it tough. I have many backups so no problem. But I might decide to not play on a day where that happened to me if I had no backups.

Either you are very hopeful or I have missed some communication from GF...
As far as I remember, not a single word since the corrective patch...
