Rzyom not installing resolved

hi there, just looking ofr some advice.
I came back from vactions late last night/this morning and logged into Ryzom. It showed that there had been a new patch and loaded up the relevant information. After that brief installation of the new patch I logged into Ryzom. I found that the coloures were distorted and patchy. I also realised that it had affected all other aspects of my PC - that is too say that web pages, photos, images etc were lñooking "patchy/discoloured".
I found re-booting the PC worked and had no problems- until I relogged into Ryzom. It brought back the bad effects to the PC and Ryzom looked bad.
I scanned the Ryzom forum for info and have not found anyone else with this exact problem (apart from bar-code graphics) and so I thought the best thing to do would be to uninstal ryzom. (Based on the fact that I have never had problems before and my PC has not changed graphics card etc - so it must be Ryzom).
I have downloaded Ryzom again - only too find that it will not allow me to actualy load it up properly. It says it "install Ryzom/Repair" and then says it has been done sucessfuly. After that I click or "open" the Ryzom icon and nothing happens. After a while I try again and it comes back up with "install/repair" Rzyom. Which it repeats to say it is has been done sucessfuly. And of course nothing happens once again.
Tried this process many times and am now a little frustrated -any ideas please?
OK - just downloaded it again and after 5 hours more it works ok this time
