Ryzom

The first thing that happens when I login is I put to 1920x1080 res...shortly after I get a runtime error. I go back into the game and I lose connection and can't do anything, so I have to open task manager to manually close Ryzom.

I tried putting compatibility mode to Windows XPSP2, but it doesn't appear to have made a difference.

Game is just not running at all it seems like with Vista

here are two problems I've found

Randomly I'll lose connection to the server (it pops up a small box with an x and a computer in it, meaning lost connection).

Also, everytime I change graphics settings and press apply, the game refreshes and either I get a run-time error, the game screen goes blank (sometimes with just a black background, other times its a grayish colored background). Then I have to go into task manager and manually close it

Any fixes to these? I think I got the Windows Vista problem fixed, but these two problems are not going away.

Have you checked our little Vista guide to make sure you have correct permissions for Ryzom to work properly?

The please wait problem could also be a windows firewall or router issue as described here

I opened the ports to my Netgear firewall, also fixed the windows firewall. Also put the folder/client to work for Vista so they don't get blocked.

I still get the lost connection problem after all this.

I'll do the chat support tomorrow when I have more time unless someone helps me between now and then

I got it again, that computer with an x and a globe in a small box. It says "Please wait..." I waited about 5 minutes and it still didn't go away.

I fixed my problem, it was netgear router that was messing with it. I got a new router and not a single disconnect or lost connection
