Something I would like to see (take it as a challenge)

Ok, I have 4 playing characters :
- main one where about every skills are at 50 or so (my 1st char)
- a crafter specialist (haven't played it yet)
- a magician specialist (doing it now and about lvl 25)
- a harvester specialist (doing it now and about lvl 20)
Why do I have specialists ? I wanted to test something. Can a player have only skill and make it all the way to lvl 250 ? I thought so. But, I noticed that this is not really possible. Why ? How can you be a non-fighter specialist and still have the same health as a lvl 1 fighter ? I found that I needed to increase my constitution (health) and metabolism (hean regain speed) to be able to survive since my other skill was increasing.
I am starting to think that the only way to have a one skill character where all other skills are at level 1 is ONLY if you are a fighter.
So, here is what I want to see to prove that I am wrong. I want to see a player being a non-fighter with one unique skill to specialize in and make it all the way up to lvl 50. I want to see this for a magician, a crafter and a harvester specialist.
That way, if someone manage to do it while all the other skills are still at lvl 1 when his specialized skill is at lvl 50, then I will see that I am wrong in thinking that this is not possible.
Anyone up for the challenge ?

The only one that's not practical is the crafter. You need another skill to get materials....
It's perfectly doable to specialize in harvest or magic though. Doing fight gives you *more* hit points, but they aren't necessary. It makes it a little easier, but it's far from make it or break it.
I could do the magic one to 50 in a day, if you're not convinced.

Make it worth my time, and il do all 4.
One magic, one melee, one harvest, one craft. YES CRAFTING: il buy the mats.

Make 2 accounts or do it with someone else for the crafter....
If the harvest specialist gives the mats to the crafter specialist is is totally achievable...
Now, every tree in the game will bring you upgrade of its own AS WELL as HP upgrades: harvest and craft will open focus AND HP, magic will open Sap AND HP...
50 is too easy: make it to 100
And as Sehr said, I will not even mention magic cos its too easy

There are HP upgrades in the Harvesting and crafting trees ? But starting at what level ?
Since I am relatively new around here (3 months), I thought lvl 50 was a good idea. But if you say its too easy, then ok guys, go for 100 but remember, have lvl 1 for all the 3 other skills you won't use.
Maybe this would be a good way for new or almost new players to learn to use a skill tree efficiently ?

Interesting challenge Ecir! But yeh you get health upgrades pretty quick in those branches. Not sure why, I guess I could see forage making your muscles get bigger, and maybe dragging mats around to craft with also makes you more butch...
SO yeh I think you can survive with just doing one skill to 250. I havent even ONE 250 yet, and honestly probably never will. I just dont level that much..I just poke around and cause trouble!!

Beau
PS: Man you need some dap? Lemme know..

On a side note, I am not going to go for it: have about 50 trees to take care of on Gillest atm lol...
I am telling you it is possible tho, no problem..
What surprises me is that you are asking others to do it..

Magic and melee would get to 50 easily in one day, just leave the island immediately (the sitting part would be painful)... Crafting would be a bigger challenge if you didn't get help, harvesting would require experience, but not that hard otherwise.
Experience is a big factor in this, less SP wasted skillwise and knowing exactly where the best place to get your XP. Been so long since I was on a new alt. I would have to go directly to Yrkanis, I have forgotten too much about the other lands for me to be nearly as successful.

With the extra-easymode stat regen on ding these days it's not even like you've got much waiting to do either.

Hmmm, that got me thinking - carry around a few grind mats and a crafting tool while hunting. Instead of sitting, ding a low craft level right quick, and back to hunting...
Dunno if it would save any time, really, but it would sure cut down on the "wasted" sitting time.
Then again, I enjoy just looking around while I sit.
