Post ideas here.
Should be things that can be run by players, whether on the mainland or in the Ring.

Well, Here are some ideas I'm working through..
Cannonball Run - Mektoub relay race with checkpoints and objectives during race.
Here, Here Kitin!! -
(ring) Team survival (like a running of the bulls meets gladiator but with kitins)
The Naked Mile Gone Wrong - Streaking through Lands of Umbra.
Atyspalooza - (Ring) Scenario with zoo, mystics(loretelling), bar, comedy stage, fashion show, and such.
Atys Promotions is currently doing detailed write-up of Cannonball Run hoping to have it all set up to do in early September.

I agree, but we can't just sit on our posteriors and wait for the event team to do everything.
Furthermore, I bet it's possible for RP events to be run that weave nicely into the lore without stepping on the toes of any official plans.
Nice to see something like Atys Promotions around.

I am trying to get some more Thesos roleplay activities together. If Atys promotions wants to be the umbrella organization, we could all (or several of us) volunteer to help at any event they might have.
Just: do you have any roleplay events planned? If not we should start getting one together!

kitin invasions and attacks on cities as hundreds and hundreds of kitins rush a city killing all the ocupants if you do not fend them off kind of like in starship troopers the first person shooter the kitins of course on this scale will need to range in level from 10-250 (or higher for boss tanks) also be nice if there was a new kitin boss introduced for this even some thing so huge that it would tower over the other kitins and make them look tiny by comparison

my fave was the "chase the bandit gang round EF" which was part of the festival of light

(but I'm clearly biased)

A "persistant" evolving Ring scenario, with more DM led adventuring than scripting would rock my cradle. I haven't seen a scenario where a DM is controlling the different NPCs and monsters.
Most of what I enjoy in NWN PWs could be made in the Ryzom Ring as well:
lowlevel, permadeath, dynamic, survival-theme. roleplaying and diplomacy have impact on the scenario's direction. start with an area with nothing but resources and hostile creatures - and try to rebuild civilization there, push the animals away. Come back next session to see what happens because you killed only the predators, etc. With a great DM.
Something like that.

The player of Mercellus made one like that, which was used several times in small-scale RP events with him DMing.

Quite an experience.
The other idea you're describing is one I've thought about and would love to implement, but I doubt I'd have enough time. =/ Hopefully someone else will take it up sometime.

Maybe I should give it a go? Never DM'd though.
I wonder if it would be asking for too much to have the participants to roll an alt and not exceeding level 50? It would make balancing easier... What do you think?
Else, the scenario have to be balanced to level 250 or the mobs would be extinguished before you knew it.
