Another newling...

Well well first let me introduce myself,

As the title implies i'm new here but not new to this scene i've been playing Anarchyonline for some time now under the ingame name of "Scronix" and many other alts ofcourse... I'm from Belgium, doubt there are many Belgian players but i'm used to that, so my native tongue isn't english but dutch so if i mispelled something i can blame it on that ;)

Since i've been beginning to lose interest in it,"been there done that" scenario i decided to do some searching and since will how to put it nicely World of warcraft is to 'simple' to my taste and left me with a bad korean mmo grinder aftertaste and EvE well i was never a big fan of spaceship games in general...i bumped into this one what surprisingly looks like a nice gem, what makes me wonder why the fame of this game is so little...but that might be for the beter sake of the community.

Nice combination between an indept skill system, craft system with a player owned economy and mature community on top of it, so i've been told so don't shoot me if i got something wrong.

Oh before i forget, Hello all hope to see you soon enough ingame :) ,once i'm done with some forum digging on info to select a good combination between a soloer, crafter and also being usefull in teams.

Maybe an easy question someone can answer that can save me some time, would appreciate it.
I've gotten the impression from reading the guides quickly there is no real limit on what you can do concerning skills, so that means i can basicly train up as good or anything or will i eventually bump into some cap?

Welcome!

Theres multiple skills you can level, which branch out further as you go. You are free to do whichever you like, whenever you feell like it.
The only cap is hitting max level (250) in specific skills if you dedicate enough of your time to those in perticular.

See: http://ballisticmystix.net/?p=skilltree for example. =)

welcome :)

I am pretty sure we have a few Belgians around the place, and Dutch as well.
There is a fairly high continental population in game, altho I will admit I dont know how it would compare to other MMOs in that regard.
:)

ahh thanks all for the welcome,

Thanks the for the info and site ajsuk,
and iwojimmy good to know and yes noticed this isn't overpopulated but then again i always say "quality over quantity" how cliche it might sound hehe

and yes gcaldani indeed i am a refugee of Rubi-ka obviously hehe, it's always good to bump into these more challeging games gives hope developers aren't stuck inside the "grinder genre" box, i'll end my moaning ^^

And ghostkpt it's all good i'm rather in international guilds anyway, brings up a more interesting mixture of people, otherwise knowing myself i would be discussing matters of life more then playing being in a national guild heh.

upgrading soon to get of that trial island as soon i masterd everything there.
